For my best friend’s birthday celebration we decided to bake cookies! And since we’re (trying to be) healthy I looked up “healthy cookie recipes” on Google and found a bunch of interesting results.
Lots of recipes looked really good and fun to do but we ended up choosing this one because the ingredients were more or less available to us at the time. We didn’t follow it exactly so I’ll list down what we did and what we used.

Ingredients
☻ 2 cups Quaker Oats
☻ 1.5 cups white flour, spooned and leveled
☻ 3 teaspoons baking powder
☻ 3 teaspoons cinnamon
☻ 1 teaspoon salt
☻ 4 tablespoons of melted and cooled butter
☻ 2 teaspoons vanilla
☻ 4 regular sized eggs
☻ 1 cup honey
☻ 1.5 cups of chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 168°C .
- Pull out 2 medium bowls, one for dry ingredients, one for wet.
- In one bowl, whisk together the oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Melt the butter in the other bowl.
- Whisk in the vanilla, then the eggs, then the honey.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stir until it has just come together (don’t overdo it).
- Fold in half of your chocolate chips into the dough.
- Freeze for about 15 minutes.
- Use your hands to shape the dough into roughly 25 cookies.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until they have just started to brown on the edges.
- Once you remove them from the oven, immediately press the remaining chocolate chips into the tops of the cookies.
- Let cool on the pan for a few minutes.
- Done!
